Lash Beauty Eyelash Extensions are a semi permanent product, using synthetic polyester strands, which hold their shape better than silk, are stronger, more durable and give a high gloss texture and finish. The service takes between 60 to 90 minutes and the technician applies approximately 25 to 35 lashes to each eye.

Each is individually bonded to your own natural lashes using varying thicknesses (regular, regular thick and deluxe) ~ lengths (7mm to 15mm) and colours (siren red, wine, chocolate, cobalt blue, violet or green with envy) to emphasise the eyes and achieve the desired look ~ natural, more dramatic or for a full, lushness to bring out the diva in you! Lashes stay put for up to 4 - 6 weeks (depending on individual activities, after care and your own lash cycle) and infills (touch ups) are recommended every two to three weeks to replace lashes lost in the natural lash cycle.

For the first week after The Brow Bar transformed my unremarkable eyelashes into long, sweeping, black curves, I couldn't stop looking at my reflection in every shiny surface that came my way. It wasn't until I kept looking at my lashes in the vanity mirror on the sunshade - while driving the car - that I realised just how dangerous lash extensions are! My first experience applying mascara (on the third day) had me gasping "ohmygod" because the merest sweep of mascara sent my eyelashes upwards and outwards into an extravagant flutter. While I admit that the 2-hour experience at the salon is somewhat tedious (maybe a manicure could be done at the same time), lash extensions are definitely a wicked indulgence and I think I may have to reward myself at Christmas with another set.
