For Her: Kylie Minogue's first fragrance, darling This has to be my favourite perfume of the year. It is just as glamorous as its creator Kylie. This perfume is classified as Chypré-Floriental. What does that mean? The perfume when you first smell it, is quite sweet and fruity with notes of passion fruit, freesia and lychee. However this is tempered with the soft notes of lily and boronia, creating a very pleasant and elegant fragrance that lasts extremely well on the skin. It has base notes of sandalwood, amberwood and vanilla adding a very sensual and warm scent.

For Him: Dior Higher Energy The perfect scent for the men who love a little spiciness without it being overwhelming. This Eau De Toilette Spray Has gentle fresh notes with Grapefruit to start with and settles on the skin with Nutmeg and Pepper notes. The base notes are Vetiver and Sandalwood. So while this scent starts out smelling very soft and citrusy on the skin it actually settles to a lovely woody base and lasts on the skin very well. Get your guy to try this one ladies.

For Him: Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme This is a must try for all men. Yes I did say men not boys, because this fragrance is truly masculine and modern. The first thing you smell is a sparkling freshness created by Zest of Lemon and Bergamot. However the fragrance has a depth to it created by Sandalwood, Virginia cedar, Haitian Vetiver and Tonka bean. The fragrance also has Violet leaves and Basil flowers too. All of this creates a wonderful contrast of freshness and spiciness which, on a man's skin is quite sensual. ON COUNTER 29th JANUARY 2007

For Her: Guerlain, Insolence If you are after a unique, luxurious fragrance this is it. It cannot be described as any particular fragrance family. Violet is the first note to notice however it's not a shrinking violet. This is a strong scent that emphasizes strength in the fragrance with raspberries and rose. It also has Iris which adds an almost dignified element to the perfume. It has a sweetness to it which you will notice first up, but it's not an overpowering sweetness rather a very feminine quality.
