I was dubious as I’ve always found lip glosses to be very sticky.
What was your experience using the product?
It was wonderful – it was great on it’s own or over the top of another lipstick. It wasn’t sticky at all and kept my lips feeling moist.
What benefit does this product have compared to others you have used in the past?
It’s nice and lightweight in my bag and I haven’t needed to keep reapplying it as I have with other lipsticks/glosses.
Would you recommend this product to others? Why?
I certainly would I like the texture, I like the packaging and being an Avon product – I would think it would be an affordable quality item to purchase.

What was your first impression of the Product?
This to me looked like most other lipglosses, with plain, sensible packaging and a non-threatening colour.
What was your experience using the product?
I did like the texture – it wasn’t as sticky as many I have used, and the colour is sheer and subtle, but still flattering.
What benefit does this product have compared to others you have used in the past?
I was impressed that this did actually last a reasonable length of time, and the colour was still obvious after an hour or two – definitely a rarity for me! I had a coffee and a piece of cake whilst wearing the gloss, and I could still make it out afterwards. Impressive.
Would you recommend this product to others? Why?
Whilst the colour did not really do it for me, I have to admit that it did make my skin look a little more ‘glowy’ than usual and I would definitely think about wearing it on the weekend just to give myself a little lift without being too obviously made up. I’d recommend it to someone who wanted something no-fuss and natural looking.

Unique social experiment puts power brushing to the test
Australians are less likely to face huge dental bills next time they visit a dentist, simply by correcting
their oral health care habits and being less complacent about their oral health. Only one in three Australians visit the dentist at least once a year for a check-up, with the main reason given as cost – 64% say it is too expensive.
These dentistry delays may find Australians with more money in their pocket in the short term, however the cost of missing check-ups, combined with poor brushing habits, could actually see the nation’s purse strings tightening. Their next visit could cost up to $500, this would attribute to $4 billion nationwide.
Misconceptions about proper brushing habits are contributing to the significant cost of oral health across Australia. To draw attention to this and to prove the benefits of power brushing – which has been clinically proven to remove up to twice as much plaque than a manual toothbrush3, Oral-B commissioned a unique experiment involving more than one hundred residents in Sydney’s Menai. For three months during the Oral-B ‘Power Street’ Social Experiment, residents swapped their manual toothbrush for a power toothbrush and had their oral health closely monitored by a dentist. After three months of power brushing, the results speak for themselves:

• 92% of residents have minimal to no plaque
• 74% of residents experienced improvements in their overall dental health
• 90% admitted that they feel more confident about their smile
• 100% will continue using a power toothbrush
• 98% believed they experienced improvements in their oral health
Sydney dentist, Dr Stephen Blatchford, hopes that the results of the experiment will prompt Australians
to re-assess their dental health decisions:
“While many Australians may find their oral health routine to be a daily chore, the impact of a poor
brushing technique combined with minimal dental check-ups, can cause a significant build up of plaque.
The results of this experiment clearly show the benefits of power brushing as an easy and effective way
to remove twice as much plaque as a regular toothbrush.”
Dr Blatchford also added. “While most people cite cost as the main barrier to scheduling a routine
check-up, what people fail to realise is the cost of ignoring regular dental health checks may actually
cost much more long-term.”
Dr Blatchford estimates that patients who have not visited the dentist in a year could expect to pay for
a clean (approximately $150), an X-ray to check for cavities (approximately $100) and for a cavity to be
filled (approximately $250 per tooth).
The Oral-B ‘Power Street’ Social Experiment was an initiative of the Oral-B Health Program, which aims to raise awareness of dental health across Australia.

Sydney, 9 March 2011: According to new research from Proactiv®, our physical appearance on social media is more important to us than many day to day activities. What were your first impressions of the Mascara when you used it?
To me mascaras are usually just mascaras. But I think this one is quite different and delivers what it promises.
Non-clumping application. Wearability is great. No smudging. Not brittle.
Well at least I look like I’ve got eyelashes with this one. I’m very impressed. I apply one coat, press lashes up with my fingers (the heat in your fingers is just as good as using an eyelash curler (but kinder)), then apply another coat which gives the thickness and length.
If Price would be of no concern, would you purchase this Mascara for yourself in the future?
I’m sure I will.

What were your first impressions of the Mascara when you used it?
I liked the tube, and thought the brush design was interesting. Instead of a round “bottlebrush” type brush, this mascara has a square brush with rubbery spiky bristles. I tested the “Black” mascara.
How did you find the application and wearability of the Mascara?
This mascara went on quite thickly – due to the rather short bristles. I also had some issues with clumpy bits towards the ends of my lashes. I didn’t experience any flaking or smudging – it lasted the day well.
I didn’t notice a smell at all – and the texture of the mascara itself seemed fairly standard – not too liquid-y or dry.
Did you notice any benefits from using this Mascara as opposed to others you have used in the past?
No. The formulation of the mascara itself was fine, however the brush didn’t do much for my short lashes. I tried the mascara with an old brush for comparison, and the finish was much nicer with fewer clumps and better lash separation.
If Price would be of no concern, would you purchase this Mascara for yourself in the future?
Yes – if I was going out unexpectedly and wanted to pick up an inexpensive mascara on the hop.

2 Stars – nothing too special – I prefer others out there, just for the brush design..
