Clinique – Liquid Facial Soap Review

Livia’s Summary: I have been using the Clinique soap for a long time so it was interesting to see the difference between the bar and the liquid form. Personally I’m not a great believer in cleansing twice as the soap is not a makeup remover, it is a skin cleanser. Having said that, on days when I don’t wear makeup it is a fantastic cleanser to just wash the face with.
The soap bar is excellent value as it lasts me a full year but I don’t think you will get the same time out of the liquid soap. On the other hand this is a lot more convenient to keep in the shower and take with you when travelling. Maybe I’ll just have to have both.
Description: All the benefits of Clinique’s famous dermatologist-developed facial soap in a liquid formula. Preps skin for the exfoliating action of Clarifying Lotion. Convenient pump dispenses just the right amount.
Available:
MYER, David Jones, Clinique Service Centres and leading pharmacies.
Price: $28.00

Skin Type: Oily Combination, Sensitive.
Value for Money: Average price, not really sure if I would buy this again.
Comments: Nice creamy texture, light & easy to apply to face, no real smell – love that! My skin felt a little tight and dry afterwards & stung a little, so because of that I wouldn’t purchase it. Otherwise a nice product.

Skin Type: Normal Combination
Value for Money: Yes I feel it is good value and I would get this face wash again.
Comments: It doesn’t have a strong smell, its light and only the smallest amount is needed. The soap lathers really well and leaves my face clean and shiny. Afterwards my face doesn’t feel really dry like it does with other soaps. Another one to add to the shopping list.

Skin Type: Extremely sensitive, dry skin
Value for Money: Good value as you only use a small amount. I will buy this soap again to keep in my shower.
Comments: It did not irritate my skin at all. It felt nice to wash my skin with it, not drying at all. My skin felt ready to be moisturised afterwards.

Skin Type: Mature, Combination Skin
Value for Money: Yes this is value for money and I would buy this for myself.
Comments: I didn’t like the smell, but it cleans the face beautifully. Very soft and smooth to touch. Excellent for some one like me that has trouble with some soaps reacting to the skin. This didn’t cause any sensitivity at all.

Comments: I wasn’t very impressed with this product. I didn’t think it lathered very well and I couldn’t see anything special about it.
