St Tropez Tanning EssentialsLivia’s Summary: As with all self tanners you have to try it for yourself. It was noted by all that the smell was quite good, not chemically. I found the colour quite natural on me and it dried very quickly. This is a self tanner that is definitely worth trying.

Overall Rating

Skin Type: Combination Skin.
Value for Money: No I don’t think its good value because my skin turned a very unnatural looking brown colour.
Comments: I found I had to apply this product twice during the course of a week to see a noticeable change in my skin colour and then it turned out a really unnatural brown colour.

Skin Type: Normal Dry Skin.
Value for Money: No, too expensive for a self tanner.
Comments: I wasn’t sure about this product at first. It coloured my skin instantly, I thought I had applied it well but the next day I had lots of streaks. The general colour is good, looked natural on me. Good for darker skin tones. Smells ok, not a really strong smelling self tanner.

Skin Type: Normal combination.
Value for Money: This is more expensive then the other products in this pack. I wouldn’t buy this lotion. However, I would be interested to see what the spray is like to apply as this is a nice tanning product.
Comments: This tanning lotion did everything it claimed, if the instructions are followed correctly. I was surprised at the honesty. The lotion went on brown and stayed brown (it didn’t look yellow). It did streak but after a shower the next day the streaking smoothed out. As I have blonde hair, I found that it stained the light hairs on the back of my legs.

Skin Type: Normal Sensitive Skin.
Value for Money: Yes this is definitely worth the money.
Comments: The best Self tanner I have tried. Finally one that gives a real natural look, and without that overpowering smell. A very smooth texture with a rich chocolate brown colour. Works almost instantly, not leaving any streaks, blending in with your own skin tones. It was quick to dry not staining my clothes. Does not have a greasy feeling. Last for about 1 week. I recommend it to all those who love their sunless tans!

Skin Type: Dry combination, dehydrated skin.
Value for Money: I personally didn’t think so because personally, a 3 step self tanning lotion is too time consuming. Not for the busy woman.
Comments: The nicest smelling self tanning lotion I’ve ever used. It was easy to apply, which I did before bedtime and then showered the next morning, hoping for a golden tan, but there was no tan to be found. I had to use this a few more times to see it really work.

Pros: Nice fragrance, light texture, dried quickly.

Cons: Can streak if, not applied very carefully.
