A Ribbon We Can All Pin Our Hopes On
A small price for a big Crusade

Avon believes in a future without breast cancer! in continued support of the cause, Avon once again launches a range of pink ribbon products – with 100% of profits going towards the breast cancer crusade.

Thanks to the generous support of our dedicated Sales Representatives and Customers, Avon Australia & nz has raised over $10 million since the launch of our Breast Cancer Crusade in 1996, and substantially increased breast cancer awareness.

All profits from the sale of the pink ribbon products will go towards the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade, which supports two organisations: The Australian New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group, which conducts a national, independent, collaborative clinical trials research program for the prevention and cure of breast cancer; and the YWCA Encore Programme, which provides community support to women who have had breast cancer surgery, through counseling and exercise.

In addition to raising funds through the sale of Pink Ribbon products, Avon sponsors the annual Avon Race for Research, an event of the Breast Cancer Institute of Australia. Launched in 1996, the race is aimed at raising funds for breast cancer research and increasing awareness of the disease. The 5 km run/walk takes place in New South Wales’ Newcastle Foreshore and attracts participants from beginners and families to serious athletes. This year’s race will be held on Sunday 23 October and Avon will donate $500,000 to support breast cancer research.

The Avon Race for Research is part of Avon’s international Walk Around the World for Breast Cancer initiative, launched in 1995 as part of Avon’s global Breast Cancer Crusade. This worldwide series of walking and running events mobilises hundreds of thousands of people across the globe, raising money and breaking down barriers to awareness and access to care while working to eradicate the disease.

Since its inception in 1992, the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade has raised and donated over $660 million US globally. Funding supports cutting-edge research to find a cure for or prevent breast cancer, programs that enable all patients to access quality care, and education and awareness.
