This shampoo is VERY concentrated, only a tiny amout is needed. It took me a few uses to remember to take a very small amount. It foams well

My hair felt so clean, it was shiny, not flyaway and better than it has looked in years. The improvement was noticeable from the first use

Yes I will continue to buy this shampoo, it is fantastic and just what I have been looking for, I have spent so much money on shampoos that promise the world and deliver nothing. Finally I have found one that lives up to its hype

How did you find the application and use of the Facial Wash?
The facial wash came out of the bottle as a whitish foam, which lathered a bit more on application.  Very creamy and one pump was plenty for the whole face.  It washed quite well, but didn’t remove all traces of eye makeup.  My skin felt a little tight and dry afterwards, but after moisturising it felt fine.
The slight smell was quite fresh – a greeny, herby smell.  Pleasant.  The soft foam was very easy to spread over the face and didn’t irritate even my eye area.

Did you notice any benefits from using this Facial Wash as opposed to others you have used in the past?
This cleanser is superior to other foaming cleansers I have tried in the past – but overall I prefer a creamier cleanser to be a bit kinder to my skin and take off my makeup.

If Price would be of no concern, would you purchase this Facial Wash for yourself in the future?
Yes – I think it would be handy to have in your cosmetics bag for going away.

4 Stars – a really nice foaming cleanser and the inclusion of aloe vera makes it more suitable to drier or sensitive skins than most foaming cleansers if you want to go that way.

Nice packaging, good colour. Went on really smoothly.

How did you find the texture and smell of the Lipstick?
Smells okay, but I didn’t like the tingling sensation of the plumping ingredients at all – was like putting chilli paste on your lips.  The feeling wore off after a while – but it was uncomfortable to start with.

How did you find the application and use of the Body Gel?
It’s a gel consistency, making it easy to apply. I used it on my breasts, legs and stomach.  After 4 days, I noticed certain smoothness in these areas and they’re a bit firmer too. Well, so far so good. I hope the areas where I focus on would improve even more if I use this product for a long term.

It has a nice texture and the smell is divine l which I love.

Good packaging, easy for application. This hand cream absorbs really quick, non greasy. It definitely makes my hands feel smoother and softer.

I actually love the smell of it, nice and fresh. The texture is quite light.
Using this hand cream made my hand soft and smooth, but I would not use it for winter time. In summer, I would recommend this product to be one of the “must-have” in your handbag. So if you have really dry hand perhaps you should try something else.

I could smell it through the packaging!! The box was quite pretty.

How did you find the texture and smell of the Soap Bar?
This soap was VERY creamy and lathery.  The smell was a knockout though – fresh peach.  Very nice and creamy!  So creamy in fact I kept dropping it in the shower and had to chase around on the shower floor a few times. Haha
This soap was very luxurious and creamy, it didn’t dry out my skin like some horrible cheap soaps do.  The peach scent was fantastic, but didn’t linger on the skin so it didn’t clash with whatever fragrance I wore later in the day.  A really lovely product.
I am more of a shower gel gal, but I think it would make a lovely gift!

Out of five, what star rating would you give this Soap Bar based on your experience with it?

5 Stars – really decadent, creamy soap.  Feels like a real treat to wash with this and leaves the skin smooth and not dry.

I thought the scent was a little strong, and it looked like an average bar of soap.

How did you find the texture and smell of the Soap Bar?
Again I thought the scent was strong, a little reminiscent of my grandma or of the 1940’s.  I was not very excited to try it at all.
When I used it tho, it LATHERED amazingly, soft bubbles, and a very thick amount.
It rinsed away clean, and my skin was not tight and dry afterwards.

Did you notice any benefits from using this Soap Bar as opposed to others you have used in the past?
It was beautiful, very moisturizing and gentle.  I even used it on my One year old daughter who has sensitive skin. As well, my husband loved it, as the scent dissipated, and did not leave a big perfume cloud.
I adored the amount of lather and bubbles, the soft quality of the soap, and the rinse away clean feeling it gave me.

What were your first impressions of the Mascara when you used it?
To me mascaras are usually just mascaras.  But I think this one is quite different and delivers what it promises.
Non-clumping application.  Wearability is great.  No smudging.  Not brittle.

Well at least I look like I’ve got eyelashes with this one.  I’m very impressed.  I apply one coat, press lashes up with my fingers (the heat in your fingers is just as good as using an eyelash curler (but kinder)), then apply another coat which gives the thickness and length.

What were your first impressions of the Mascara when you used it?
I liked the tube, and thought the brush design was interesting.  Instead of a round “bottlebrush” type brush, this mascara has a square brush with rubbery spiky bristles.  I tested the “Black” mascara.

How did you find the application and wearability of the Mascara?
This mascara went on quite thickly – due to the rather short bristles.  I also had some issues with clumpy bits towards the ends of my lashes.  I didn’t experience any flaking or smudging – it lasted the day well.
I didn’t notice a smell at all – and the texture of the mascara itself seemed fairly standard – not too liquid-y or dry.

Did you notice any benefits from using this Mascara as opposed to others you have used in the past?
No.  The formulation of the mascara itself was fine, however the brush didn’t do much for my short lashes.  I tried the mascara with an old brush for comparison, and the finish was much nicer with fewer clumps and better lash separation.

If Price would be of no concern, would you purchase this Mascara for yourself in the future?
Yes – if I was going out unexpectedly and wanted to pick up an inexpensive mascara on the hop.

What were your first impressions of the Foot Creme when you used it?
I liked the size and shape and the “matt” feeling of the tube, especially knowing it was recyclable. The cream was heavier and stickier and had a much stronger smell than I expected.

How did you find the application and use of the Foot Creme?
I found it fairly unpleasant to apply as it was so “gluggy”. Wearing socks over it was essential, but I personally found that made my feet feel hot and sticky and uncomfortable to wear all night. However, it certainly did moisturise and soften my feet.

How did you find the texture and smell of the Foot Creme?
I found the texture a bit too sticky and the smell of  coconut and oils rather overpowering – however my dog loved it. I literally had to fight him off to stop him licking my feet and hands while I was trying to apply it!
As a moisturiser and softener it worked better than a number of others I have used, but I prefer not to have to wear socks overnight, even if it takes longer to work.

What were your first impressions of the Body Lotion when you used it?
Handy pump pack, and a really generous size.  Would do a few applications.

How did you find the application and wearability of the Body Lotion?
Application was smooth, the lotion sunk in quite quickly.  However, I developed a very slight reaction to the product which wore off in a couple of hours – a red pinprick-type rash.  It also tingled a bit, which made me nervous.  There was a slightly noticeable tan developed overnight, and upon a re-application, the colour deepened slightly.  Very natural and even; and not orange.

How did you find the texture and smell of the Body Lotion?
The texture was very light and creamy.  It left a slight film on the skin, which sunk in over a couple of hours.  The lotion was almost odourless on application, but the “fake tan smell” developed noticeably over a few hours.

Did you notice any benefits from using this Body Lotion as opposed to others you have used in the past?
No – I tend not to use tanning products as I am very pale, and I hate the smell of the active ingredient.  This lotion was no exception.

If Price would be of no concern, would you purchase this Body Lotion for yourself in the future?
No.  I don’t think I would buy it – I just don’t like fake tan products.  The lotion base was quite nice, and the gradual tan effect was very non-scary, but the smell put me right off.

Out of five, what star rating would you give this Body Lotion based on your experience with it?
4 Stars – If you are after a gradual-tan style product and don’t mind the smell that they all seem to have – you would quite like this.  I think it’s a good product of its type, I just didn’t think I would buy it.

What were your first impressions of the Shower Cleanser when you used it?
The consistency of this creamy cleanser is moderate and would not be very runny when squeezed onto the body cleansing puff.  The instant that the tube is opened, you can definitely smell a mixture of the coconut and vanilla cream.

How did you find the application and use of the Shower Cleanser?
The cleanser is not soapy and hence will not cause any foam when lathered on the body.  It definitely cleans the skin and leaving it feeling very soft and supple.  I don’t believe that the subtle scent will last throughout the day.
You can instantly smell the coconut vanilla when the tube is opened and it applies very softly on the skin.  It doesn’t leave the skin feeling oily and yet it keeps the skin smooth throughout the day.

Did you notice any benefits from using this Shower Cleanser as opposed to others you have used in the past?
It’s affects are very similar to many other shower cleansers on the market.  If you want a cleanser that lathers well, then this is not the product for you.
As I prefer a shower cleanser to lather, I wouldn’t purchase this product again however it does meet its goal as a shower cleanser.

As a shower cleanser, this product can easily be rated as 4.5 since it cleans the skin and leave it being moisturised throughout the day.

How did you find the application and use of the Foundation?
The foundation was easy to apply, but I was disappointed with it. Currently I use Clinique Repair Wear and my fist impression was that this would be similar, as the texture was similar; both are rather thick. However when applied it gave a very light coverage. It was not enough to cover the fine broken capillaries in my cheeks. It did not mask any blemished. As this is marketed for mature skin I expected a better coverage, when in fact I think it is more suitable for younger women

I liked the packaging on this range, it is obviously targeted to a younger buyer but didn’t put me off.

How did you find the application and use of the Products?
I really like the application of all the products. The shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling clean and soft and smelling nice. The protein treatment gave my hair a good moisture boost and I like the fact that it is a quick and easy one to do in the shower rather than having to sit around with hot towels etc on your head.
The leave in moisturiser was good although maybe not as good as some I have previously used.

I really liked the texture and smell of these products. They were easy to use and apply although the leave in moisturiser was maybe a touch too runny.
These products were definitely better in my hair than a lot I have used in the past. They left my hair feeling soft and without too many dry ends.

What were your first impressions of the Mask when you used it?
The licorice-mint fragrant of this product is very off-putting as it is quite heavy.  The cream when first applied is very thick.

How did you find the application and use of the Mask?
A very generous amount is required to be applied on the face and once it is set, it becomes solid and holds the face.  It requires a fair amount of scrubbing afterwards to remove the mask.  Once the mask is removed, the face is left with a fresh soothing feeling and with any dead skin removed from the face.  The skin is left feeling very supple, free of toxins and the tone is even throughout the face.
The cream is very thick and the fragrant is very heavy and rich.

Did you notice any benefits from using this Mask as opposed to others you have used in the past?
The mask does remove any toxins, oils and dead skin that is on the face and allows a soft removal without having to heavily scrub the skin and making it red.

If Price would be of no concern, would you purchase this Mask for yourself in the future?
Due to the fragrance, I wouldn’t purchase this product again however as a mask, it is very effective and yet very gentle on the skin.

This mask would easily be rated at 4 for its purpose to clean and clear the skin properties.

What were your first impressions of the Night Cream?
The same as the day cream it was a glass jar packaged simply in a single box and again didn’t look cheap. I also appreciated the different coloured lids (green for day and blue for night) which meant I didn’t have to find my glasses to pick the right jar.

How did you find the application and use of the Night Cream?
Very easy to apply, and easily absorbed into the skin without leaving a greasy surface. Even though it is slightly thicker than the day cream I could slather it on without feeling like I was wearing a mask.
I didn’t like the smell of the night cream as much as the day cream, it was slightly mustier, but in both cases the smell was very slight.

Did you notice any benefits from using this Night Cream as opposed to other creams you have used in the past?
I rarely use both day and night cream so this was a bit out of the usual for me, but those that I have tried in the past made my face feel gluggy. This one didn’t. Also, since it absorbed so quickly I didn’t feel like I was moisturising my pillow instead of my face.

If Price would be of no concern, would you purchase this Night Cream for yourself in the future?
At this price this is the night cream I’d go for even if price were a concern. I may just break my own lazy habits and purchase this in the future and keep using it.

The cream smells very florally-powder rich and in its glass jar, it appears like a product that would be more costly and being very effective.  It is thicker than the day cream and an even lesser amount is required when applying as it is even lighter than the day cream.

How did you find the application and use of the Night Cream?
It applies very easily on the skin and smoothes the fine lines around the eyes and corners of the lip area.  It doesn’t leave the skin oily however a light shine will appear on the skin.  Only a small amount is required to be applied for the entire face as it spreads very easily on the skin.

How did you find the texture and smell of the Night Cream?
It is thick but once applied to the face, it is very light.  Its floral fragrant scent is very soothing and makes the skin feel relaxed for a night sleep.
In the morning, the skin is left regenerated and soft for the day’s activity.

If Price would be of no concern, would you purchase this Night Cream for yourself in the future?
The cream doesn’t seem to have any affect as an anti-aging supplement however it is a good night cream as it relaxes the skin for the night.  I would purchase this product again purely for a night cream relaxation purposes and not for its anti-aging uses.

Out of five, what star rating would you give this Night Cream based on your experience with it?
Considering that a 50ml night cream jar is priced at under $10, it is very competitively priced.  As anti-aging product, it is considered to be quite inexpensive and I would give it a 3.5 out of five based result and price.

The cream runs a bit too much, I prefer a bit thicker creams, but I must admit it soaks into skin quite well and leaves skin quite smooth and soft in touch.

The smell was absolutely divine, but a texture I think is a bit too liquidy. Because it is so runny I usually squeezed too much. It didn’t wash off that quickly. If I just applied it and than had to rinse a plate, or wash a glass I could still feel it on my hands so I didn’t need to reapply every time my hands got wet.

If Price would be of no concern, would you purchase this Hand Cream for yourself in the future?

I would and I think I will as the packaging and the smell is beautiful so it will make a lovely gift.

I liked the colours of the tube, and was glad it had a screw cap, as that means less chance of it opening in my handbag or drawer.
I didn’t have to use as much as I normally would and I didn’t have to wipe my hands off after applying – a problem I’ve had in the past – as this was absorbed quite well.

How did you find the texture and smell of the Hand Cream?
I found it quite runny for a cream, but it did absorb quite quickly leaving behind a pleasant smell.
I found it quite good for the backs of my hands and wrists, but it didn’t seem to be able to keep the skin around my fingernails from drying out.
I don’t think I would purchase it again, especially in winter. I need a heavier duty, thicker cream.

What were your first impressions of the Foundation when you used it?

I was very excited to try it as I LOVE mineral make up.

When I first tried to apply it I was disappointed. It was heavy, difficult to blend, tacky, and just not the HYPE it spoke of.

How did you find the application and use of the Foundation?

Difficult, and tedious.

Coverage was very had to get evenly, and it caked up in ALL my fine lines, aging me. I’m 33, and have pretty smooth skin, so this was not a good thing. Perhaps it would be better for someone very young.

How did you find the texture and smell of the Foundation?

I found or noticed very little smell, but the3 texture was a tad too heavy for my climate. In winter with dry-is skin, it was a bit heavy, and difficult to *build up*. And it caked in all my fine lines, especially around my eyes.

Did you notice any benefits from using this Foundation as opposed to others you have used in the past?

None at all.

It did not build up nicely at all, and was quite tacky. I found it tedious to apply a miniscule amount over and over to get bare minimal coverage.

If Price would be of no concern, would you purchase this Foundation for yourself in the future?

No I would not. I would continue on with using a liquid *Maybelline Minerals*, easier application, better results, and smoother finish.

What were your first impressions of the Day Cream?
Upon opening the glass jar, a lightly fragranced cream seem to be quite thick as it wasn’t of a runny composition to the extent that the jar can be tipped upside down and there wouldn’t be any movement in the cream unless the jar was tapped.

How did you find the application and use of the Day Cream?
Even though at first glance, the cream appeared to be thick and heavy, once a small dab was applied to the face, it was obvious that the cream is very light and only a small amount would be required.  It was also remarkable that once the cream is applied to the face, it didn’t leave an oily heavy residue and that it was absorbed into the skin quite rapidly.  As it is quite light, this cream can be used under a sunblock and standard makeup (foundation, power and blush) without giving the oily look at the end of the day.

The instant that the cream is applied to the face, it moisturise and softens the skin.  It works wonders on tired puffy eyes that it tightens/uplift saggy skin.  It almost feels like drinking refreshingly cold water after a workout at the gym as the skin feels so invigorating.

How did you find the texture and smell of the Day Cream?
The soufflé soft cream is light on the finger and smells of a floral powder and once smooth on the skin, it is instantly absorbed within seconds without leaving being oily.

Did you notice any benefits from using this Day Cream as opposed to other creams you have used in the past?
As it isn’t oily, it can definitely be used as a moisturise base on a daily basis.  It’s great benefit is that it does soften the skin and lift tired bags under the eyes.  If wrinkles are a sign of aging then this cream lifts and smoothes the skin, thus, it is considered as an anti-aging cream as it does reduce the signs of aging.  However, if anti-aging is described as not appearing aged and your appearance remains fix at a moment in time then this cream would not be considered as anti-aging as the lines of aging is only reduced and dissipated.

If Price would be of no concern, would you purchase this Day Cream for yourself in the future?
In the scheme of anti-aging product cost, this product isn’t costly and could easily be considered as a standard moisturiser and would be priced in the same category.  I would definitely purchase this moisturiser again as it is a very good based mosituriser.

Out of five, what star rating would you give this Day Cream based on your experience with it?
My skin is usually very sensitive and many products would cause my face to breakout due it’s oily composition, this cream on the other hand, did not have that result and I would continue to use the product on a daily basis.  Therefore I would give this 4 Stars as it is priced well and is a great moisturiser.

I liked that it was packaged simply in a single box. It was in a simple glass jar that is small enough to fit on my little shelf. Also because it’s glass, I can put it in the recycle bin without searching for the recyclable symbol. Finally the jar was completely full. I was a little disappointed that it didn’t have an SPF rating, though.

How did you find the application and use of the Day Cream?
It was very easy to apply and soaked into my face rapidly, without leaving a greasy feel behind. I also found it to be a very good foundation for mineral makeup. It didn’t cause the base powder to clump up.
It was light and smooth, with a slight pleasant fragrance that dissipated quickly.

For all that it didn’t leave a greasy feel, I was still conscious of it moisturising my skin all day, and didn’t feel the need to constantly reapply which I have done with other more expensive brands.

If Price would be of no concern, would you purchase this Day Cream for yourself in the future?
On the contrary, I think if price were a concern, this is the product I would go for especially in the winter. It’s only an average sized jar, but it lasts well as only a little bit is required.

Out of five, what star rating would you give this Day Cream based on your experience with it?
I would give this a 3.5 out of 5 mainly because of the lack of an SPF rating, which is something I always look for in a day cream.

I love the ‘pod-like’ packaging & a mineral eyeshadow that is pressed is so much easier to apply.
The eyeshadow is so easy to apply & the pigment can be built up for a more dramatic effect. It could take me from day to night without creasing or smudging.

The convenience of a eyeshadow that didn’t crease made touch ups quicker during the day.

I thought it was just another eyeshadow.  But when I went to wash off my makeup I realised that my shadows I had applied over the Australis one was still where I originally put it.

How did you find the application and wearability of the Eyeshadow?
Goes on easily.  The wearability is astounding.  This is what has converted me.  I used it as a base, and then put other colours on top.  Everything stays in place.  No creases.
Texture is quite smooth – I guess that’s the mineral powders.  No smell to note.

Personal Comments: I’m tired of chasing applicators in my makeup drawer, and figuring out which pot of eyeshadow it belongs to.  I swore I wouldn’t buy any more eyeshadows that didn’t have their own space to store the applicator within the eyeshadow container.  I might have to relax that rule again.

It would make my day to see Australis change the packaging to include an applicator and space for it within the container.  This would make the product the totally perfect eyeshadow.

What were your first impressions of the Facial Oil when you used it?
I loved the idea of it and was very keen to try it, however, I hated the smell – it smelt like cooking oil – and didn’t really feel it achieved its claims.

How did you find the application and use of the Facial Oil?
Application was easy, although one push of the dispenser dispensed a rather large amount of the oil in one go. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to use so much each time. It also meant the whole bottle didn’t last very long.

How did you find the texture and smell of the Facial Oil?
The texture and feel of the oil was fine – but I almost had to wonder if it was “off” as the smell was so unpleasant. I had expected the rose damask and sandalwood to have offset the emu oil.

To be honest I didn’t notice any difference or improvement in my skin. I do often use an oil under my moisturiser for extra hydration so I was expecting more from it than it delivered. I also found if I wore it during the day, my foundation would “disappear” very quickly – and I use a long lasting one.

What were your first impressions of the Styling Cream?
I was a bit worried, as I’ve not had good experiences with leave in treatments in the past, they tend to make my hair greasy and lank.

How did you find the application and use of the Styling Cream?
I found this very easy to apply and use, the only problem was deciding how much to use as the instructions are vague on that point.
It felt quite thick from the tube and was a bit worried as to whether it would stay thick in my hair, but it didn’t. It has a slight fragrance but is not unpleasant.
I was really impressed that it didn’t weigh my hair down, nor did it make my hair feel greasy. Those are the two big problems I’ve had with leave in treatments in the past. With this product, once my hair was dry (blow dried or naturally dried)I didn’t even notice that it was there. Also, it was really good for styling my hair. When I used a hair dryer I didn’t have to use any other product to keep my hair in the right place though it wasn’t stiff at all.

If Price would be of no concern, would you purchase this Styling Cream for yourself in the future?
Yes, I think this one is a keeper. My hair was shiny, non greasy, soft and in place all day.

How did you find the application and use of the Body Moisturiser?

It applies easily and absorbs into the skin quickly. It is a bit on the runnier site but not too much. It smells great and very “summery”’. Kind of like the ripe berries.

I didn’t notice any special benefits, except from the great smell and easy application, I was a bit disappointed. I used OPI Nails Products and they are great but this Body Lotion doesn’t stack up with quality against  the rest of their product. I guess the cute packaging makes it a nice gift for someone, but I don’t think I’d be buying it again.

Out of five, what star rating would you give this Body Moisturiser based on your experience with it?
3 stars for attempting at making a body lotion to OPI, but unfortunately that is were it stopped, at least for me.

What were your first impressions of the Lip Colour when you used it?
The Invincible Red colour of this lipstick is definitely a show stopper as its a bright red colour.  The product is very cleverly packaged in that it both the lipstick and the gloss is held together in a mirror like case to also double as a mirror when applying the lipstick.

How did you find the application and use of the Lip Colour?
The lipstick is very soft and doesn’t leave the lips dry at the end of the day and with the top coat gel, it gives the lips a shine and as it is quite thick, the staying power of the colour lasts for quite a long time.
There is no fragrance to the lipstick however as it feels quite thick, I felt it almost impulsive to consistently lick my lips.

Did you notice any benefits from using this Lip Colour as opposed to others you have used in the past?
The staying power last for quite some time and it does not dry the lips unlike many high priced lipsticks.
The product is very smartly packaged and would definitely be a must for all fashionistas.

I was thrilled to be able to review this fantastic straightener, as it has been my all time favourite for some time now. I have very frizzy, curly hair with a tendency for dryness. The Queensland weather with it’s high humidity certainly doesn’t help in keeping it straight either.  Needless to say I am constantly on the lookout for products and appliances that will tame my hair. I have found it!

My hairdresser uses a very well known brand of straighteners and is always trying to convince me to buy it from her. However, every time she straightens my hair with her straightener, I have that much static in my hair that it literally stands on end, requiring a substantial amount of products and hair spray to hold it down.

This has never happened with my Goddess Straightener due to the Ionic Steam. I get a super smooth finish the first time round and I only pass the straightener through again out of habit. The wide plates make an enormous difference as it eliminates any kinks and waves. I can not say enough about this straightener and our panelist all seem to agree. What was your first impression of the Product?
I loved the look of the straightener; a rich red colour with gold trim. It comes in a fabulous pouch with a heat proof pad to put the straightener on. This protects your bench top.

What was your experience using the product?
This product truly is “A Goddess” It is so simple to use, and made my hair look like it had been professionally styled. It is super quick to heat up. The plates are very smooth and gentle on my hair. It has an amazing steam function, so that you can add extra definition to your hair. I have very thick, coarse hair, which was unruly and difficult to style. Now my hair behaves perfectly, sits smoothly, no fly away bits; just like a Goddess. My hair is dry and I only wash it every 5-6 days. In between the VS Straightener was fantastic for a quick restyle. Making my hair look fantastic in no time. It gives my hair a wonderful shiny finish. I love the ease of using this, and how quick it is. My grand daughter wanted me to use it on her hair; with careful turning of her hair I was able to give her a few ringlets in no time. Because of the variable heat settings, I felt it was perfect on her young hair.

What benefit does this product have compared to others you have used in the past?
The VS Goddess heat up almost instantly, unlike my older straightener. It has 3 variable heat setting which gives much more control than single setting straighteners. It is lighter to hold, simple to use. The spray setting adds a truly professional touch, not available in other straighteners. The gold pouch makes storage a breeze, it is also great for travelling. The heat resistant pad is a great safety bonus. No more chance of burning the bench, as I have done in the past.

Would you recommend this product to others? Why?
My 2 daughters, and my best friend have all used my new VS Goddess. They love it and have put in orders for birthday and Mothers Day gifts. I would say everyone should think about buying one of these. It will save them time and money and help to keep their hair looking like they have just left the hairdressers

What was your first impression of the Product?
The first thing that caught my eye was the colour of the VS Goddess Straightener. I absolutely loved the deep burgundy colour. It had so many different features to it than my previous straightener and I was so excited about using it.

What was your experience using the product?
I enjoyed using this straightener. It had easy instructions to follow. It heated up quickly and was ready to use within about 30 seconds. I liked the inbuilt comb and the conditioning ionic steam feature which I had never used before, but once I tried it, I wondered how I managed without it.

What benefit does this product have compared to others you have used in the past?
Because it heats up well, you only need one swift movement from roots to tips and you have straight hair. My hair definitely doesn’t frizz using this straightener compared with my other one. It also leaves my hair shiny and silky and doesn’t feel dry at all.

Would you recommend this product to others? Why?
I would definitely recommend this straightener to my friends. I would say that it is just as good if not better than a GHD but for a cheaper price.

Looks like professional straightener. Sits very nice in my hand and the little LCD display seems to be a very clever idea

What was your experience using the product?
I loved the water reservoir! My hair didn’t feel as scorched as they normally do. The different temperature settings are great as well. Sometimes I would just quickly run it through my hair just to refresh the look before going out – very good idea with different temp settings. I found it very useful. And did I mention the cord that just turns and doesn’t tangle – BRILLANT!!!! And I loved the bag that it comes with so easy to store!

My hair did not feel as dry as after using other straighteners. I loved the easiness of using it – it is almost fool proof with temp settings and great cord.

What was your first impression of the Product?
Upon removing the item from its large box, the product looked very modern and state of the art with its gleaming metallic shiny red coating, easy to press buttons, mirrored digital display and retractable comb dial.  The larger than usual tourmaline ceramic plate feels very smooth and the 3m cord seemed will make straightening hair quicker and allows more flexibility to move around.  I’m also very impressed with all the other functions that can be varied such the amount of water to be sprayed on the hair while straightening and the variable temperature setting to the variable retractable detangular.

What was your experience using the product?
The first time I used the product, it didn’t feel heavy on the wrist despite the larger width of the plate.  I noticed that because the retractable detangling comb is built within the plates, it actually is not only sturdier and won’t break like many other straighteners but also actually detangles the hair strands resulting in a beautiful straight finish.  The great advantage of the Goddess straightener is that it straightens the hair very quickly and with such ease that it could easily be part of each morning’s regime.  The other advantage to this than other straighteners is that its steam function allows for greater shine and no more frizzy hair.  People were able to distinctively notice the difference when I use the Goddess and provide glowing compliments.  Now that I’ve used this, I would never go back to the others again.

There are so many features that this product have over others such as:
•    Adjustable retractable detangular – leaves the hair tangle free and it can be adjusted depending on the thickness of hair or hair portions;
•    Adjustable temperature setting – allows to personalise to specific hair type;

Absolutely.  In fact, I’ve not only boasted of all the great features but have even lent the straightener to a friend to test and she’ll purchase her own this weekend.

I loved this straightener. I have fluffy wavy hair and I can straighten it in under 5 minutes with this (on the 2nd lowest heat setting), the inbuilt comb is handy and my hair was so silky – I got lots of comments and compliments. Also the 30 second heat-up is brilliant. The only negative, and it is a very minor one, is that the steam reservoir is a little difficult to fill.

What benefit does this product have compared to others you have used in the past?
Whereas my old straightener would keep it straight for maybe 6 hours, with this my hair stayed straight for 2 days, and it heats up so quickly. The long cord is helpful too.

It took me a few uses to get used to it as it is a bit larger than my existing straightener and I have small hands but after a few uses I liked it and got the hang of it although I did need to have the heat setting higher than what was recommended for my hair type to get a really good straighten.

I liked the steam option and the adjustable temperature as well although I did have the temperature higher than recommended. I think the steam helped keep moisture in my hair which is quite dry normally.

The beginning of every great hairstyle starts with a good hair drier. In my opinion you can’t get much better than this drier. I love the strong motor of this drier and I really noticed that my hair dried in about half the time as with my previous drier. The Ionic conditioning technology also made a big difference to my hair as it reduced the static dramatically. Combine this with the diffuser and you have one fantastic hair drier.

What was your first impression of the Product?
The packaging is excellent, stylish, appealing to the eye.

What was your experience using the product?
I appreciate that the hairdryer is not too noisy. That was my first concern. I love the volumising diffuser; it’s very quick to dry my hair with as it distributes the air to a greater area. My hair looks nice and not frizzy at all, when the diffuser is used.

What benefit does this product have compared to others you have used in the past?
I have a very similar hair dryer (Wahl), which is using ionic technology as well. (to reduce static during drying)Compared with the VS Sassoon it seems to me that they are on the same level. However the VS Sassoon has the advantage of the circular volumising diffuser. Both dryer have similar features when compared. This latest technology can not be compared with the simple hair dryers available on the market, which are just drying out hair and scalp without mercy.

Would you recommend this product to others? Why?
I would recommend it, because it is superior to the basic hair dryers in many ways.
It is drying the hair in a gentle way, speeding up the drying process, reducing static. Another good point is the opportunity to dry your hair on a lower temperature, which is also beneficial.

What was your first impression of the Product?
The dryer is quite light – and easy to handle.  Fits in the hand well, the handle is a good size.  The various control settings are easily accessed using the thumb during operation.

What was your experience using the product?
I already use a previous model VS Sassoon ionic dryer – the Ion Shine 2000 – and absolutely love it.  I have fine hair that is prone to flyaways and the extra ion blast really helps smooth my hair without excessive product use (which weighs my hair down) or styling (extra effort!!)  So I was delighted to try the Ultimate Salon Dryer.  It’s extremely powerful, and cuts my drying time down significantly.

What benefit does this product have compared to others you have used in the past?
Compared with the ion Shine, the Ultimate Salon Dryer is a lot louder, but a lot more powerful. It has many of the same functions and attachments (cool shot, adjustable heat settings and speed settings, and diffuser and concentrator) but it really makes it so quick to dry my hair.  I am considering gifting the Ion Shine to my mum and just keeping the Ultimate for myself!!

Would you recommend this product to others? Why?
Definitely – I think everyone should be using an Ionic dryer, it so much kinder on the hair and reduces styling time.  The Ultimate was so easy to use and gave a really great, sleek style with very little effort.

I would give the Ultimate Salon Dryer a 5/5.  I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their hairdryer!!

What was your first impression of the Product?
It looks very elegant, with nice lines and colouring, though it is larger than my usual hairdryers. As I was unrolling the power cord, it seemed to go on and on, about twice the length of the usual dryers I get.

What was your experience using the product?
The lower power options were fairly wimpish, though are good for finishing off styles that just need that extra light touch. For the most part I used it on full power and found it was very good. Hot air, which dried my hair off, without burning my face or neck if I misaimed. I also came to appreciate the extra long cord.

I still haven’t come to terms with using any diffuser on my own hair, but I did experiment on a friend’s, and found it quite handy for adding volume without pushing hair too far in the wrong direction.

The only drawback is that even the lower settings are quite loud in an echoey space like a bathroom.

What benefit does this product have compared to others you have used in the past?
I was a little sceptical about ‘ionic conditioning’ at first, but my hair displayed much less static since using this hairdryer.

Also, the long cord was very handy and was a nice complement to the 360 degree swivel, as the cord didn’t get tangled up or twisted as quickly as usual.

Would you recommend this product to others? Why?
Yes, I think I would. Despite the drawback of being bigger, and so a little awkward to control at first, I soon got over that. Also, the ability to pick your settings so precisely makes it very good for using it to create different styles.

Very excited with my new product.  Very light to handle and no tangled cord.  Small is size, very compact unit and easy to handle.

The high torque fan system is of a benefit as it quickly drys wet hair.  However there is a down side to the high torque fan system, although there is a 2 speed setting, the low speed is still too powerful to style hair eg. Fringe.  It’s too Powerful.

What benefit does this product have compared to others you have used in the past?
My previous hair dryer is longer, bigger and heavier.  This product is light, compact and quick to use.

Would you recommend this product to others? Why?
Yes for general quick hair drying and Volumising.
However, No  for styling, too powerful for my light, fine hair.  It may have a different effect if you have thick hair.

4 out of 5.  This product has its great aspects, but I did find one down side.  Not quite a good all-rounder product.

I really liked the look of the hairdryer when I first saw it. I love the colour,  – a metallic brown colour.
The size is great too! Small enough to take on trips but big & powerful enough to dry thick hair.  The hairdryer is also nice and light so it doesn’t give your arm a cramp as you’re drying your hair.
It looked really funky and I was really excited to try the hairdryer!

What was your experience using the product?
The hairdryer was very easy to use.  There are different speed levels and also different heat levels. All you have to do is pick the level of heat and speed that you like, and off you go.  The hairdryer is nice and light and so you can move around the hairdryer with ease.  The heat was quiet hot and also the highest speed was also surprisingly quiet powerful. I have been using salon hairdryers for the past 10 years and so I was a bit sceptical using another hairdryer.  However I was pleasantly surprised.  My hair dried really nice with his hairdryer. It didn’t dry out my hair, and also it styled quiet easily afterwards.  I didn’t feel the need to straighten my hair afterwards as it gave my hair a nice natural blow-wave look.

What benefit does this product have compared to others you have used in the past?
Light and easy to use. Also quiet powerful given the size and price.

Would you recommend this product to others? Why?
Yes I would if they were looking for a cheap, easy, medium power hairdryer. I still love my salon hairdryer, however I love this one too as it’s one that I can take on holidays as it’s light and small and it has great results – does not leave your hair frizzy. The only thing I can recommend is that a ring is attached to enable you to hang the dryer up.  My salon hairdryer has one attached and so it’s easy to just grab my hairdryer in the morning.  Unlike this one whereby I need to pack it away in the cupboard and then unpack & plug in each time I need to use it. However this is just a minor thing and should not detract you from buying the hairdryer.  This hairdryer really surprised me, as it’s quite powerful for the size!

I am still a fan of salon hairdryers so, I would have to give this one 3.5 Stars. Only because it does not have the attachment to hang the dryer and it lacks a little bit of power.  The power is good, don’t get me wrong, but I really like a Strong & Powerful hairdryer as I have quiet thick hair that is prone to frizzyness.  I would buy this dryer if I didn’t want to spend a lot of money and wanted something simple to use.

This is a fantastic two in one styling tool for the time poor woman. It straightens and curls your hair at the same time, without the need for two different appliances. I found the You Curl to be very gentle on my hair, without any breakages due to the ceramic plates. it heats up very quickly and I especially found the cool tips to be so useful in being able to grab them and hold the tool without burning my fingers. For me it worked best to give soft curls mainly at the end of the hair, a little kick if you will, but as that is the current trend it worked perfectly. This tool is not for anyone wanting ringlets, it is mainly for the soft wavy styles and for that it is perfect. 5 Stars

What was your first impression of the Product?
My first impressions of the product were that it was attractive and easy to use, after reading the instructions I soon realised that it had quite a few more benefits over my other hair styling tools, specifically: it can be used as a straightener as well as a curler and it has 3 temperature settings, compared to my expensive straightener which only has one.

What was your experience using the product?
After the brief amount of time it took to read the instructions I was really impressed with the speed that the You Curl, heated up, also that it had ceramic technology mainly found in rather expensive hair straighteners. I found it easy to follow the instructions to produce smooth, bouncy curls.

What benefit does this product have compared to others you have used in the past?
The You Curl has 3 heat settings which other more expensive brands do not, the other big thing which I found to be the number one reason why I would choose this product over other more expensive ones are the 2 small grips found on the end which you can grab to help you guide the You Curl from root to tip, I have received rather painful burns off of my expensive, very common brand hair straightener by grabbing the end and accidentally touching the ceramic plates… so this is a huge bonus which makes it easy to hold, handle and much safer than others I have used.

Would you recommend this product to others? Why?
Definitely I would recommend this to others. It created the same results as other expensive hair straighteners that I have used, while being much easier to hold and manoeuvre to create smooth bouncy curls with very little chance of accidentally grabbing the plates and burning yourself.

What was your first impression of the Product?
I loved the look of the curler – the purple background with gold pattern and writing is very striking and attractive. The ceramic plates appeared to be good quality and very well designed and an interesting shape with the additional sides obviously for the “curling”. Having 3 heat settings is certainly better than most which are just on or off.

What was your experience using the product?
I was amazed at how quickly the plates heated up. I expected to wait a couple of minutes but it was hot enough to use after a few seconds! The design of the flat plates with added curved sides proved to be surprisingly easy to use as my hair slipped through the plates smoothly without having to pause or overheat any particular sections. The result was very bouncy, wavy hair in a very short time. The slower I went, and longer I held the plates on the hair the “curlier” the result. It was very easy to adjust the use to get different results.

What benefit does this product have compared to others you have used in the past?
I have used many curling appliances over the years, including many types of curling tongs. The main difference with this one is the design of the flat plates which allows for the curling of the hair to start from the roots and not from the ends. This enables root lift and a gentle curl through the length of the hair with minimal damage from overheating to the ends of the hair. Also of great design is the additional bits near the hinge for the other hand to hold on to (without getting burnt) – this allows for much better control and ease of use.

Would you recommend this product to others? Why?
I would definitely recommend this product. It is very attractive, well made, easy to use (I got the hang of it after only a couple of sections of hair the first time I used it) and I was able to achieve a great effect very quickly.

What was your first impression of the Product?
At first this gorgeous royal purple product with stylish golden trims and writing looked strange as one side of the plate would curl and extend out. But then as the plates aren’t so wide so it can easily make the wavy no hassle curls that is currently the hot look. It has 3 variable heat settings which will accommodate to many hair types which many expensive curlers don’t have and what’s best is that it can also be dubbed as a straightener as well.  No need to the have two products when you have this product.

What was your experience using the product?
This product makes those ‘beach hair’ curls very easy with just one twist of the wrist.  The remarkable product heats up so quickly and without having to use any holding products, the curls would stay in your hair for even more than 2 days.  Because there are no combs, the hair doesn’t catch and even with the twist, my hair flows smoothly through the tongs and results in healthy natural curls in one quick action.

What benefit does this product have compared to others you have used in the past?
Not only does this product heats up quickly but with its adjustable heat setting, the product is far more superior than many items currently on the market.

I would definitely recommend it to friends as the curler looks fantastic and very regal and plus it works extremely well.

What was your first impression of the Product?
Loved the colours – gorgeous purple base colour with gold lettering. The tongs are quite slim; I found it different that there were separate on and off buttons rather than a single power button!

What was your experience using the product?
I have almost-shoulder-length fine, wavy hair, and I was very eager to try this product. I found that even on the highest setting, the styler didn’t seem to heat up that quickly, even though I waited a couple of minutes for it to heat up before using. The ends of the You Curl tongs stay cool, which is perfect for having extra control in winding your hair around the tongs, and the ceramic curved extensions on the sides of the straightening plates ensure that you get a nice, large, loose, natural curl. I found that there was no stand, or clip a little annoying, since the curved sides meant I had to prop the You Curl up on the opposite side, and was a bit worried about damaging the vanity benchtop.

What benefit does this product have compared to others you have used in the past?
Using the You Curl is very easy. The ceramic plates on the tongs glide nicely along the length of the hair, with no snags or stutters. I don’t do much extra styling with my hair and I think that I would be more inclined to use a styler like the You Curl as it is so easy to use. Although, the curls didn’t stay in my hair too well, perhaps I should have let the tongs heat up longer, they fell out almost immediately. A bit of experimenting with holding and heating time, with the use of mousse or hairspray may mean the curl is held longer. Also, my hair is relatively short – and the overall larger diameter of the curls (as compared to a traditional curling iron) meant that I got waves rather than well-formed curls, although longer-haired ladies may have more success.

Would you recommend this product to others? Why?
I would certainly recommend this product – it is a good straightener as well as having the ability to create really natural-looking waves and curls. It would work best with people with longer hair.

I adored the purple colour and the gold hot plates. The design was sleek and formal. I definitely had no qualms about displaying it in my bathroom. Usually, I hide all appliances under the sink, but this one went right on display

It was very easy to use. I expected burns and hassles, yet it was infact the most simplest appliance I’ve used to date.
The handles had a great grip and were easy to rotate in my hand; the hot plates heated up very quickly and gave great definition without burning my hair.

My hair felt protected and styled at the same time.
It easily and quickly gave me a variety of different curls and textures. Heated up quickly and was very time efficient.

What benefit does this product have compared to others you have used in the past?
The ease of use, the comfort of the appliance, the speed in which it heated up, the ability to do different textures quickly and efficiently! And the design, it looked FANTASTIC!

Yes I would and I already have! Infact, I had my friends asking about my hair, and its styles, as I previously always wore it straight, now, I do wavy, curly, or STRAIGHT. It limits the need for a curling iron and a straightening iron, you only need one.
It’s comfortable, its NON damaging to hair, and I have yet to have a bad result!

At first I had to get my head around it, even though it comes with instruction booklet I didn’t seem to be able to get those great curls at first. It took few attempts but I got there and now I get the best waves in the office. If you expect the curls that traditional curlers give I don’t think you will get them, but it gives the best waves I have ever managed to do!!

My first impressions of the product were that it had a very modern girly look and I was very happy that they brought out a product that is able to curl and straighten your hair. The ceramic coating is also a nice feature as it protects the hair from too much heat damage.

The first time I used the product it took me quiet a while to get the hang of curling my hair so that the curls were going in the same direction. I also used it to straighten my hair which was very easy. So overall I was quiet happy with the product.

VS Sassoon did not burn my hair because of the ceramic tile on it and the tips on the end did not heat up so I was able to style my hair more easily holding both ends.

What was your first impression of the Product?
At first, I thought the colours used made the curler look good. Maybe not professional standard but nevertheless it looked good. It’s nice and light, so when curling for a long time doesn’t tire out your arms very quickly. The cord is a good length, and the swivel at the connection point to the product is a good idea.

What was your experience using the product?
At first I tried using the product according to the given instructions, however found it difficult to actually produce a curl. It took quite a while to work it out, and I still haven’t quite got it yet. The instructions are simple enough to follow, but the curls just don’t work out very well. Also, they fall out quite quickly as the hair doesn’t set very well because of its lower heat range. You would need to apply a whole lot of hair spray to keep them in place. Having frizzy hair also makes it a little more difficult to get a smooth curl. I did find that it heated up very quickly but would like to see the temperature on the tool instead of looking through the instruction book so I know if I’m burning my hair before I can smell it. Also, when laying the tool horizontally on a bench, the sides warm the bench up which isn’t very safe, something I haven’t experienced with my other hair tools.

What benefit does this product have compared to others you have used in the past?
I have never used a curler personally, but I think this one is good for perhaps styling hair with a bigger curl/flick at the very end, not so much throughout the hair. Finer hair would probably be better suited to it as thicker hair didn’t work too well.

Would you recommend this product to others? Why?
I wouldn’t recommend this curler to people with thick and frizzy hair, as it is very frustrating trying to get the curl to form in the first place and then to stay. It is a little time consuming also, so not a great idea if you’re short on time. Maybe those who are much more experienced at curling would find this tool more user friendly.

The bottle was very impressive. Kind of had this expensive look to it. The smell was very nice. Had a subtle but lovely peach smell. So divine!

The texture is lovely and rich and creamy. Really good for my skin in winter! The cream soaks into the skin very quickly too. The smell – oh so divine!! I love it!

55% of Aussies Clueless to Skincare Ingredients

More than half of us have no idea what we’re putting on our face every day

55% of Australians have no idea what ingredients are in their skincare products and one in two do not bother to read the ingredients before purchasing them, according to a survey of over 3,500 people by Yuva skincare.

“It is quite alarming that so many of us are happy to apply products to our faces every day without knowing what it is we’re actually using,” says Vicky Schulz, co-founder of Yuva.

“Unfortunately people tend to trust that if it’s available to buy than it is okay to use, but that is just not the case.”

77.2% of respondents are also unaware of what a paraben is, a common synthetic preserving ingredient found in many skincare products, which can trigger allergies or hormone disruption and is potentially carcinogenic.

Yet 98% responded that if they discovered a skincare product they were using contained a potentially carcinogenic chemical, they would stop using it.

“Clearly people need to start educating themselves on what the ingredients in their skincare products are and why they’re in there. We are becoming increasingly aware of what we put into our bodies with the foods we eat; we need to be equally aware of what we are putting on top of our bodies, particularly our faces.

“The majority (89.8%) also responded that they are concerned about the possible health risks of using a chemical based skincare regime. With numerous all-natural skincare products now available, there is no reason not to act on those concerns,” says Schulz.
